#SYNOLOGY SURVEILLANCE STATION LICENSE HACK INSTALL#One thing that does work, but is a bit a ******* for anything other than a new setup, is :-īuild a single disk real Synology box (make sure the box you choose it capable of the number of cams you need, there are limits defined) load up all your licences.īuild your Xpenology box up, "seed" the install by importing the single drive from you existing real Synology, you now have Xpenology with licenses loaded, add more HDDs as you like and you are good to go. The reason it no longer works is because Synology have changed their T&C's around moving licences, even on genuine hardware. Still looking for a more permanent solution, and I'm ready to buy more licences if I get it working. Not very convenient as they have separate timelines. My workaround: I am running separate Xpenology instance on ESXi for every pair of cameras. I also tried to fall back to the oldest possible surveillance station with no success. Might be that there are some detection mechanisms for non genuine HW. #SYNOLOGY SURVEILLANCE STATION LICENSE HACK MAC#I have also tried the original MAC and SN from the DS112, with still the connection failed message at activation the licence. I have tried SN and MAC pair generated by the excel file available in the net. Now I have gone over to ESXi based environment and the licence does not activate anymore, giving the "connection failed" error The same licence worked also on baremetal Xpenology 6.02. I have bought a licence for the 3-rd cam which worked well on DS112 box. These new features give users more flexibility and easier installation when setting up a video surveillance system.Coming back to the initial question with some answers and no solution Furthermore, improvements in ONVIF Profile S make it easier to find and add compliant cameras to Surveillance Station with the 'ONVIF Search' option. Greater support for ONVIF brings more flexibility : In addition to providing native integration for edge recording on select camera models, Surveillance Station now supports edge recording on many more camera models thanks to ONVIF Profile G.In addition, revamped license management improves the stability in CMS deployments. Robust CMS performance and stability : By refining the database structure and adding a dedicated multipart link between host and recording servers, Surveillance Station 7.1 increases the speed at which recordings and event information are transferred from recording servers. Also events can also be directly highlighted on an E-map, so users can quickly see the camera and location of suspicious events straightaway. Thanks to under the hood modifications, Live View Analytics alerts are displayed for cameras that are not included in the Live View layout. Advanced live view alert and notifications provide refined management : For large-scale surveillance deployments with hundreds of cameras, monitoring cameras one-by-one can be inefficient. This means several security personnel can monitor a live view from different workstations at the same time without impacting system performance. Multicast boosts bandwidth efficiency in multiple user scenarios : Multicast support reduces the workload and bandwidth consumption when running Surveillance Station in environments where multiple clients are viewing video feeds. Plus, developers can take advantage of support for RTSP to integrate video streams into third-party systems.
